ERIC HOWELL SAYLES, ESQ.

Attorney at Law
eric@sayleslegal.com

My career began with contracting and renovating property in the metropolitan Washington area during the 1970’s. Working with a boutique real estate firm in downtown DC, I then became its in-house counsel. There I engaged in years of contracts, negotiations, closings and litigation. In the late 1980’s, I formed LAW OFFICES OF ERIC HOWELL SAYLES, PLLC as a boutique firm engaged in all aspects of real estate, including contracts, transactions, trusts, mortgage loan documents, and settlements.

In addition, I have had extensive success in real property litigation, representing property owners and managers, developers, contractors and construction managers, brokers and agents, and homeowners. I have represented title agents and underwriters regarding claims; among other matters, I have extensive experience in legal actions to remove clouds on title.

For commercial developers and multi-unit property owners, my firm prepares condominium conversion documents, leases, construction contracts, and handles complex landlord and tenant matters in and out of court. My firm is a leader in tax lien litigation in the District of Columbia, having prosecuted nearly one thousand legal actions in the past twelve years.

I offer full service to real estate investors, agents, homeowners, and lenders. Because we are a small firm, I can promise individual and prompt attention to the client’s needs. I have two expert attorneys on my staff, and I consult regularly with them and directly with all of my clients to assure that they receive the best possible representation.
